The purpose of our Welcome Centre at East Gate Alliance Church is to introduce and incorporate new visitors to our congregation without overwhelming them. Our volunteers try to recognize visitors who are attending our church for the first time – while some visitors may be just passing though, others might be looking for a new church, and this gives them the perfect opportunity to talk face-to-face with one of our volunteers who can answer any questions they might have about our church or denomination.
Our primary objectives at the Welcome Centre are to welcome new visitors, always be available to answer any questions they might have, and give them an opportunity to find out more about the various ministries within our church.
If a visitor to our church decides to continue to attend services, usually within three months they will be invited to attend a Newcomer’s Lunch, where they will have the opportunity to meet the church staff, along with other church members.
