The facilities and maintenance ministry is dedicated to ensuring that our church building and grounds are kept in good condition. The Bible indicates that looking after buildings which are dedicated to worshiping God is connected directly to the heart of the worshiper. In Nehemiah’s day the Israelites said:
"…We will not neglect the house of our God."
— Nehemiah 10:39 (NIV)
And Haggai reminded the people that having nice homes to live in while the Lord’s house was in ruins was a sad reflection of their hearts.
"Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?"
— Haggai 1:4 (NIV)
Many of the janitorial, maintenance duties and renovation projects are completed by volunteers, which allows our church to maintain a very functional and beautiful facility at a fraction of the cost normally associated with such a facility.
